The Lodge at Deadwood is one of the newer resorts in Deadwood.  It offers higher end restaurants and amenities.

The Lodge at Deadwood is located on the edge of town on Highway 85 towards Spearfish. It offers a large free parking lot. The Deadwood Trolley also stops there, though it may suspend operations during extreme winter weather. Walking to The Lodge at Deadwood is nearly impossible. It is up a steep slope with no sidewalks.

Table games

The Lodge at Deadwood offers nine table games.  There are five blackjack tables, two Ultimate Texas Hold’em tables, Mississippi Stud table and Three Card Poker. Ultimate Texas Hold’em, Three Card Poker and six-deck blackjack have $2 minimum bets. Double deck blackjack and Free Bet Blackjack have $5 minimums.

There is a video roulette machine with a real roulette wheel. A video craps game is also spread. Big Wheel and blackjack are other video table games. All have limits of $1 to $100.

The six deck blackjack games let you double anything, double after split and split up to four hands.  The double deck blackjack game allows players to double only on 10/11 including after a split.  Players may split up to four hands. All blackjack at The Lodge at Deadwood hits soft 17.

Players that prefer video blackjack over the live game will find a machine at The Lodge.  It pays 3-2 on a blackjack and permits double down before and after splitting.  Surrender is also available on the game.  The dealer hits soft 17.

Rounders Poker Room

The Lodge at Deadwood calls their poker room the Rounders Poker Room.  The standard games dealt at the Lodge at Deadwood’s poker room are typically the biggest in town. These usually have blinds of $1 and $2 and are dealt is spread limit format. The highest bet can range from $100 to $1,000, depending on the night.

Rounders Poker Room tournaments

The Rounders Poker Room offers a tournament daily. Tournaments start at 6:30pm on weekdays. The buy-in is $12 on Mondays, $23 on Tuesdays, $45 on Wednesdays, and $34 on Fridays. Rebuys are $5 on Mondays and $10 for the other nights. The Thursday tournament is a $111 without rebuys on includes bounties.

The Sunday tournament has a $111 buy-in with a deep stack. This goes to $221 on the last Sunday of every month. It starts at 2pm. The Saturday tournament is a $23 with $10 rebuys. It starts at 1pm.

The house adds up to $1,600 on Wednesdays, $1,200 on Fridays and $800 on Saturdays.

The Lodge at Deadwood is the best place in the city to play video poker in town. The best game is 12/8 Shockwave Poker. It returns 99.55%. When you obtain Club 76 player’s card you will receive 0.2% cash back.  To receive the cash back you must go to the rewards desk.  They will then print you a voucher that you can take to the cage.  There are five levels of Club 76 tiers.  Basic, Gold, Platinum, Diamond and Elite are the tiers.  Diamond and Elite receive 2x points.  All tiers receive birthday free play.  Other benefits include restaurant, gift shop and hotel discounts.

The Lodge at Deadwood hotel

The Lodge at Deadwood’s hotel is one of Deadwood’s newest hotel offering.  There are 140 non-smoking rooms. There is also a gift shop, conference center, fitness center and indoor water play land. The indoor water play land includes a water mushroom, water slide, a lily pad crossing, basketball area and whirlpool. It is open year-round weekdays from 8am to 10pm and weekends from 8am to 11pm.

The Lodge at Deadwood hotel rooms are furnished elegantly. In-room amenities include coffeemaker, iron/ironing board, hair dryer, upscale bathroom accessories, USB alarm clocks, workspace, flat-screen TV and free high-speed internet. Standard rooms include two queens or one king. Room upgrades include a walkout or balcony. Suites feature a separate living area with a sleeper sofa and either a king or two queens.

The Lodge Package runs an additional $30 per night. This includes a $25 dining credit and $25 in free slot play for each night.

The Lodge at Deadwood restaurants

Oggie’s Sports Bar and Emporium is an upscale sports bar located just off the casino floor. Oggie’s specializes in burgers, chicken, pizza, salads and standard bar appetizers. Lunch and dinner are served daily starting at 11am. Dining ends at 9pm Sunday through Thursday and 11 pm Friday and Saturday. Breakfast is available daily from 7:30am until 10:30am. A full bar is also offered.

The Deadwood Grille is one of the most upscale restaurants in Deadwood. The Deadwood Grille offers a variety of steaks, seafood and salads. A full bar and wine list are also offered. The Deadwood Grille is open on Friday and Saturday from 5pm to 10pm.
