Deadwood Gulch is located on the outskirts of Deadwood near the Lead city limits on Highway 85 South. Deadwood Gulch attracts many bus tours from out of state and the casino floor is often busy, even during the off-peak season. This is unusual for a casino in its part of town.

In addition to gaming, Deadwood Gulch offers a variety of amenities. These include a hotel, bakery, fudge shop, liquor store and restaurant.  The Deadwood Trolley will take visitors to Main Street and other attractions from Deadwood Gulch.

Deadwood Gulch Hotel

The Deadwood Gulch hotel offers both interior hotel rooms as well as exterior motel type rooms. The hotel is located at the end of the Mickelson Trail, which is convenient for guests that would like to take advantage of the trail for biking, hiking or snowmobiling. The hotel offers internet access. Off season rates start at $45 weekday and $69 weekends. Summer rates start at $119 weekday and $149 weekend but can vary greatly depending on events that are being held in Deadwood.

Deadwood Gulch Dining

The Creekside Restaurant is open from 7am-3pm daily in the winter and until 9pm in the summer. Breakfast is served from 7-11am Monday-Saturday, 7am-noon on Sunday. Lunch is served after 11am and includes salads, sandwiches, wraps and burgers. Dinner, served from 5pm-9pm, includes all the items available for lunch plus chicken, steak, seafood and pork entrees.  There is a daily special as well.  A kid’s menu is also available.

The Fireside Lounge offers lunch and dinner. It is located at the bar inside the casino. Menu items include burgers, sandwiches and fried food.

Deadwood Gulch Slot Machines

Deadwood Gulch offers a variety of slot machines in denominations starting at one cent up to $5. Both video slots and old-fashioned reel slots are available.

Deadwood Gulch Video Poker

Deadwood Gulch video poker offerings are like most Deadwood video poker offerings. There are two banks of video poker machines. In one bank there are nine games available on the Game Kings. The best game is the high variance Double Double Bonus Poker Plus. It pays back 95.1%. Other offerings on this bank are 6/5 Jacks or Better (95%), 10/8/5 Bonus Poker (94.18%), 7/5 Double Bonus (93.1%), 6/5 Double Double Bonus (94.65%), 15/10 Deuces Wild (94.82%), 6/5 Joker Poker (94.27%), 6/5 Triple Double Bonus Poker (93.86%) and 7/5 Blackjack Poker (94.9%).
